Marvel Comics Presents (1990-1995)
I’ve previously covered the 1988-1989 issues of Marvel Comics Presents, which focuses on the contents of the initial 37/38 issues. With issue #38, MCP became a secondary title of sorts for Wolverine and later Ghost Rider (along with the Ghost Rider character Vengeance), all while maintaining the series’ eclectic mix of other characters getting their own single stories and/or serials.
The Wolverine and Ghost Rider (and Vengeance) features will be covered in those respective sections of the archives:
Marvel Comics Presents #38-#142 and #150-#155 (Wolverine)
Marvel Comics Presents #64-#71 and #90-#146 (Ghost Rider)
Marvel Comics Presents #147-#175 (Vengeance)
As for everyone else? Well...the range of characters varied from perennials with their own series like Spider-Man and Iron Man to less significant headliners like Red Wolf or Devil-Hunter. There’s a lot to cover and the vast majority of it isn’t available and, frankly, most of it doesn’t have much bearing on...anything.
Another issue with MCP’s coverage on Marvel Unlimited is that when an issue is listed as available, it doesn’t necessarily mean that the entire issue is made available; it’s usually just the part that was featured in a trade/omnibus that has been released (and even that isn’t a guarantee).
I guess this is all a wordy way to point out that until more issues pop up on the service, it’s going to be some time until a more thorough guide will come into play. I’ll try to mark the features that are (or at least seem) important within the respective collections as I’m mapping them out
